Cabbage Soup Diet
This is a fun one! Cabbage soup. Totally. I’d always heard of these diets and thought that they were really something different. But it’s true; though not for long-term weight loss, the cabbage soup diet is bandied about as a “low-fat, high fiber” diet that gets you into shape fast before beginning a different track for long term health success.
The Cabbage Soup Diet knocks the weight down in a hurry. Maximum time on this wild ride is seven days and it provides an excellent jump start to another longer term health strategy.
For drawback, there are drawbacks. Among them is the fact that people find the soup “bland.” Some people have said they were left feeling tepid and ill. Some people have said they are left with a decreased concentration. But many said that despite these detriments, they’d do it again and they were thrilled with the product.
Or so says the company.
Also, says the company, is the problem with ‘mainstream’ diets is people get bored. By only losing around one pound a day on a week long program, people want more results or they’re more likely to fly.
What the company should realize is that in its own literature, they’ve contradicted themselves! “Around one pound a day for seven days” is say 1-1.5 lbs. 1.5 * 7=10.5. The companies OWN WEBSITE says that people will lose on average 9lbs in 7 days. Isn’t 9lbs in 7 days “around” 1 lb per day for seven days?
This tiny oversight makes me want to not give the company the benefit of the doubt because I feel like I’m being talked to like I’m a fool of some kind. I’m no fool. I can do basic algebra. I know when I’m being talked down to.
