Diet Coke
Is it bad for you is probably as direct a question as I can think of for the product which is expected to overtake not only it’s rival blend but its parent blend as the most popular soft drink in the United States very soon. Diet Coke is a very popular blend and could soon be more popular than not only Pepsi but Coke itself as it continues to gain market share and momentum as people all scream “Just for the taste of it!”
Ingredients in Diet Coke is a mixed vat. In Europe and other places outside the US, there is sometimes a different sweetener. But for out US purposes, we’ll say that Diet Coke is carbonated water, caramel color, aspartame, phosphoric acid, potassium benzoate, natural flavors, citric acid, and caffeine.
Diet Coke logo and the Diet Coke bottle all bear the insignia of a war horse that wasn’t even going to be introduced. Coke felt like they didn’t want to mar the image of the parent blend of soft drink by putting on another offshoot blend.
Diet Coke is good for people with diabetes as it has no sugar (but aspartame) which won’t mess up a diabetics insulin levels.
Diet Coke has had hundreds of commercials; maybe even thousands with celebrity endorsements all around the diamond. The catch slogans have come and gone but my favorite and the one which has stuck with me is, “Just for the taste of it!”
The only way to drink soda, if you’re going to do so, in my opinion, is from a can. The new Diet Coke cans (or, relatively new; how old are they? Like, fifteen years old? Ugh!) are nice; the silver and red is a nice design.
Experiments of explosive Diet Coke and Mentos have been done before which show that combing the two is a dicey idea with explosive results.
There really is no diet in Diet Coke. Yes there is no sugar but there are calories and soda rots out your brain. Didn’t your mother ever tell you that? So soda is not what you should be drinking when you’re on a weight loss regimen; not even Diet Coke.
