Cambridge Diet
Time is probably the biggest obstacle: we say we have “no time” to eat right; we have “no time” to go to the gym; we have “no time” even to prepare microwave dinners that may be healthier than what ever fast food burger joint stuff we find ourselves met with as an alternative as we swing through the jungle maze of our modern day lives. For that person there is The Cambridge Diet.
Developed in 1970 by a doctor from Cambridge University in the United Kingdom, The Cambridge Diet is a low-calorie weight loss plan. Very popular in the United States after its commercial release around 1980, the Cambridge Diet has helped millions lose weight both with its liquid diet, diet plan, and overall usage for losing weight.
The Cambridge company produces shakes, nutrition bars, soups, and other foods in various flavors. Their recipe for success in weight loss basically consists of starvation. The official guidelines suggest that you eat only three servings of their food (a whopping 500 calories a day) along with at least eight glasses of water pre day and no strenuous exercise.
Cambridge Diet meals contain all the correct amount of nutrients to enable “the excellent weight loss properties of starvation” and allow a person to stop overeating. Protein to protect lean tissue, carbohydrates to allow ketosis (the body’s fat-burning fasting mode) and eliminate hunger; the correct levels of vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and other trace elements to support good health. The Cambridge Diet discourages alcohol and chewing gum while on the diet.
Fitness is so important. We all live our lives trying to stay in shape, eat right, and live a long and healthy life. Numerous obstacles stand in our way of reaching these idyllic goals; time, money, mostly time; but there is no reason not to get on the web and try to find out some answers.
