Fat Smash Diet
Hurrah, hurrah! We’ve got another brand new book, in 2006, which offers all the wonderful benefits of a lifetime of weight loss, the tips to a healthy existence, and all in four easy steps. Is it any surprise that this most recent addition to the litany of fitness books, The Fat Smash Diet, is the by-product of a reality TV program?
From the books own website, “the plan is geared to be flexible and adaptable to the ups and downs, changes and transitions that characterize real life.” Well, at least they’re dealing with ‘real life.’ As this fully original (sic) book sets itself apart from the rigidity of other not so flexible books, I wonder, does the fact that this book is flexible mean I’ll lose weight quicker?
I don’t mean to be so cynical about this plan; I just can’t help thinking I’ve heard all this before. Like, all of it.
Regardless, the jury on the Fat Smash Diet by Dr. Ian Smith is still out. I haven’t seen this program on VH1 “Celebrity Fix Club” – but I can only imagine what it’s all about and the wild successes and real life failures that are on this show.
Women’s World magazine, I’m sure, did a piece about the Fat Smash Diet. If you’re interested in learning more about the Fat Smash Diet you may want to investigate a little further than the surface.
A review of the Fat Smash Diet I did read wrote about the fact that Dr. Smith suggests you go back and repeat phase 1 in a 10 day program if you’re ever feeling badly about the success of the diet. That’s probably because phase 1 is where the most weight is lost.
The Fat Smash Diet has recipes and results available online. In addition there is an e-Book that you can check out; you don’t even have to go to the bookstore. If you don’t want to.
The Fat Smash Diet sounds like a lot of other diets out there. But if it works for you and if you find success with Dr. Smith’s program, than good for you. Unfortunately, I feel a little bit like the generality of this book exposes the real problem with all these diets; there’s a formula for them: plug in A, B, C & mix and you’re done. For most of us, though, real life could only be so straight lined.
