Sacred Heart Diet
Marketed as a seven day eating plan which can be used as often as you like, the Sacred Heart Diet claims to give you a cleaned out of impurities system as well as the added benefit of a feeling of well being. Weight loss up to 17 lbs and abundant energy are also part of the prescription; let’s see what’s involved.
The biggest component of this diet is a soup. This soup includes stewed tomatoes, onions, beef broth, Lipton chicken noodle soup mix, celery, green beans, carrots, and green peppers. According to an online source this soup can be eaten anytime you’re hungry during the week. Eat as much as you want; the soup will not add calories.
The sacred heart medical diet also has guidelines for drinks. These include unsweetened juices, tea, coffee, cranberry juice, skim milk, and plenty of water.
Day one on the sacred heard diet includes any fruit besides bananas. Eat only the soup mix and fruit on day one.
Day two is all vegetables. Raw, cooked, or canned. The diet suggests green leafy veggies and to stay away from dry beans, peas, or corn. In the evening have a big baked potato with butter. But no fruit on day two.
Day three is includes soup, veggies, and fruit; as much as you want, but no potato today. You should have lost 5-7 lbs if you haven’t cheated.
Day four is bananas (at least three) with skim milk; plenty of milk and soup. Bananas are high in calories and carbs and so is the milk. But today your body will need potassium and carbs.
The sacred heart diet is for men and women. So you should feel free to enjoy day five. Day five is beef and tomatoes; 10-20 oz of beef plus a can of tomatoes. Also eat the soup at least once.
Day six is more beef and veggies. Go ahead and have 2-3 steaks today; green leafy veggies but no potato. Also have soup at least once.
Day seven is brown rice, unsweetened fruit juice, veggies, and plenty of soup. You can add cooked veggies to the rice.
By the end of day seven you should have lost 10-17 lbs. It’s that simple. However if you’ve lost more than 17 lbs, stay off the diet at least two days before returning.
One other note is that you shouldn’t drink alcohol while on the diet from the fat build up in your system. No bread, carbonated drinks (even DIET) and no fried foods. But plenty of water is key, in addition to the above listed drinks.
The sacred heart diet can add years to your life and shed pounds from your system. Enjoy!
